What You Will Do:

The AVP, National Accounts will be responsible for the complete strategic vision and execution of  account strategy and overall retail account management to build profitability and grow market share.  The individual will maintain strong relationships with senior management at retail partners and effectively negotiates for space, location, exposure, margin, etc. The incumbent will oversee the National Accounts team to support all retailer accounts within It Cosmetics.

The AVP – National Accounts will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for retail & net sales goals for all retailer accounts
  • Build and maintain strategic partnership with all retailer accounts (Brick and Mortar and online): Ulta, Sephora, Macy’s, Target, Kohl’s, etc.
  • Manage the overall and individual P&L for all retailer and wholesale accounts
  • Lead in buy negotiations in partnership with Head of Sales
  • Oversee strategy and execution for the overall stock levels and ensure appropriate product mix of stock is available in the stores by assuring timely ordering, proactively monitoring and resolving low or out of stock conditions
  • Control and update stock and sales plan, product and GWP returns
  • Responsible for weekly, monthly and annual forecast and plans for both dotcom and B&M
  • Analyze and define the growth levers relevant to customer with specific focus on the shopper so selling is through shopper insights
  • Partner with the COE on brand specific and account specific opportunities
  • Partner with cross functional teams (marketing, sales operations, demand planning, education Etc.) on building account specific marketing plans for gaining market share
  • Create a positive culture and environment that inspires and motivates a high performing team.
 

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree and minimum of 10 years’ experience in cosmetic or retail management
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, results oriented
  • Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills
  • Analytical and creative in approach to identifying opportunities and solving problems
  • Financial acumen with P&L and budget management experience
  • Entrepreneurial risk mentality and innovative management skills
  • Proven ability to develop strategic goals, drive company sales and achieve profit objectives
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the competitive landscape
  • Proven experience in managing, motivating and developing a sales team
  • Proficient computer skills necessary – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
