The L'Oreal Tech Incubator's mission is to elevate consumer’s beauty experience for all with technologies combining state-of-the-art cosmetic formulas, software, and hardware. For example, our Global team has launched Skinceutical Custom D.O.S.E, YSL Rouge Sur Mesure, Colorsonic and recently unveiled Hapta and Brow Magic at CES 2023 winning 6 CES Innovation awards.

 

The L’Oréal Tech Incubator is looking for a Beauty Tech Program Manager with an engineering background and a minimum of 5 years in a Program Management role. This role requires a hybrid on-site schedule in Jersey City, NJ, and occasional domestic & international travels (~5%).

 

In this role, you will be leading multiple projects, from ideation to launch within a cross functional team passionate about innovation. Your impact will be global and like an entrepreneur backed by the worldwide beauty leader, you will have the means to design, industrialize, consumer test and launch consumer facing tech products. The new hire will have the responsibility to deliver  product partnering with external start-ups and world-class experts and manufacturing partners. Solid project management bases including the use of processes, tools and rituals to deploy on the mass market are a must. You are comfortable with open challenges, taking initiatives and finding pragmatic solution despite the unknown. The Beauty Tech Program Manager will be involved to transform our organization with new product and processes from design practices to commercial life and after market surveillance. At the intersection of a strategic go-getter and a humble team leader, we are looking for the next talent who will create with us new to world tech beauty tech product.

As a Beauty Tech Program Manager, you will:

  • Translate business visions into product definition
  • Challenge and propose alternatives and come up with creative solution to fulfill marketing vision
  • Be driven by passion for consumer experience at the core
  • Pay attention to product detail and quality
  • Able to synthesize highly complex problems with multiple variables down to simple solutions and concrete action items
  • Collaborate with project managers to optimize product costs and margin for compelling business plan
  • Make decision based on data and propose options to the team and top management
  • Source, collaborate with key external partner engineering, manufacturer, labs
  • Manage the communication of status, risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely manner
  • Communicate clearly and adapt the content to relevant audience, escalate smartly to get things done
  • Ensure timing and quality and track budget of your projects
  • Apply for patents and protect the team innovations

 

To Succeed in this Position, You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in successfully launching projects or products to consumers is required
  • A completed Bachelor’s degree is required and Master’s degree or above in project management, engineering, computer science, management or other relevant fields preferred
  • Thorough technical understanding and base knowledge to influence project decisions
  • Experience as a strategic doer, comfortable to make effective trade off and prioritization
  • Executed and found opportunities to innovate in ambiguous and changing environments and demonstrates both a flexible and resilient approach
  • Balanced strategic thinking with process-oriented execution with highly focused attention to details
  • Demonstrated adeptness with diplomacy and influence skills
  • Communicated and adapted messages to audiences with always clean and visual presentations
  • Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent, ongoing basis, without the need for legal sponsorship now or in the future

  • Base Salary Range: $117,300 - $160,200 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
