A Commercial Controller at L’Oreal takes full responsibility for the financial management of the trade allowances for one of our largest brands and customer accounts. You will be required to work in a cross-functional team to prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts (trends). Commercial Controller has specific brands and customers ownership and therefore requires a strategic mind-set & ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. You will be driven by delivering financial insight to enable sustainable growth whilst ensuring that internal controls are respected at all times.


Finance Excellence:

•Interpret financial results through maximizing financial systems (Compass, Boost, SAP) to providing actionable insight on customer P&L’s, sales growth analysis, gross margin analysis, customer trade margin and sell-in/sell-out data

•Provide finance training and development to commercial team

•Management of Assistant Commercial Controller

•Internal Control:

  • Ensure group normes are respected at all times

  • End-to-end deal-to-cash management including balance sheet control

•Business planning & optimization:

  • Preparation of Customer and Brand Budget and financial forecasts (Trends)

  • Monitoring of in-month tracking gross-to-net

•Business partnering:

  • Using the L’Oreal knowledge as well as market & financial expertise to understand, improve & challenge overall effectiveness of the business

  • Projects: be part of all project of commercial and leading financial projects relating commercial and category.

  • Monitoring of in-month tracking gross-to-net

Preferred Qualifications:


•Qualified CIMA/ACCA with 5-8 years post-qualified experience

•SAP experience and strong Excel skills

•Experience in reporting in a complex and dynamic organisation, ideally FMCG

•Strong Communication skills – written and verbal

•Excellent presentation skills

•Experience in a fast paced sales environment

•Highly organised with prioritisation skills
