PURPOSE
The Manager, Commercial Planning and Operations supports the Commercial Planning and Operations team with all field sales finance activities. This position owns cross functional engagement between various partners (ie: Sales, Finance, Marketing, Demand Planning & MSL etc) to deliver all items related to gross-to-net support and analysis including communicating drivers of YTD performance and YTG strategic initiatives for assigned brands. The incumbent owns reporting retailer specific P&Ls reflecting GTN, forecast rollups including YTD/YTG gap analysis, reconciling trade budgets, promotional ROI effectiveness and tracking shipments against consumption. The incumbent is responsible for presenting to a variety of business leaders with business trend updates including impact to annual plan and supporting the internal and external business planning processes for assigned brands.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports all sales financial analysis against annual budget responsibility of assigned brands
Works with the Commercial Planning and Operations Lead, sales team, marketing, demand planning and financial group to gather insights, feedback, business/retailer dynamics in order to generate and report out value added insights and recommendations for assigned brands. Analysis, tracking and reporting includes, but is not limited to:
Work directly with sales & finance to capture current and future assumptions on retailer P&L and G2N documents; proactively communicate insights and factors driving or impacting assigned brands
Support cross functional interaction to share information, update on brand status and plan achievement to inform ACD decisions
Work within internal timelines and support operational adherence; own solid preparation for all forecast / financial brand planning meeting needs.
