The People Services function will take on and centralize critical, operational Human Resources work with a goal of increasing collaboration, leveraging shared knowledge, and creating a more consistent employee experience. What You Will Learn:

We are looking for a Specialist in our newly established People Services function to manage event production and program communication for the L’Oréal USA learning offer. This role will report to the Senior Manager, People Services as part of a team dedicated to centralized People Development & Learning operations including LMS oversight, event production, and reporting.

  • Manage program logistics including but not limited to booking venues, booking hotel room blocks, ordering catering, and printing materials
  • Update templates and send program communications to employees including calendar holds, pre-work notifications, and follow-ups; liaise with employees to answer questions before, during, and after their participation (manage accepts/declines, recommend hotels, send reminders, etc)
  • Create and update learning materials including PowerPoint decks, handouts, online catalog, and branded items
  • Extract and compile communication performance data to share with People Development & Learning for optimization of communications strategy
  • Track expenses, open purchase orders, and submit contracts for legal approval
  • Support on-site event production in New York or Los Angeles when needed (estimated no more than 1 trip per quarter) or virtual production via Microsoft Teams (breakout rooms, muting participants, screen sharing, etc)

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with a large, complex organization, specifically in HR / Learning
  • Previous experience with event production
  • Previous experience with email marketing or internal communications platforms (Poppulo or Adobe Campaign preferred)
  • Project Management Expertise: is able to set goals, manage timelines across multiple simultaneous projects and execute with excellence
  • Acts with the employee in mind, establishes and maintains effective relationships with employees and HR counterparts to gain their trust and respect, collects feedback from employees and HR to improve service
  • Collaboration: is able to engage cross functional partners to drive towards shared objectives, work closely with other Learning team members to share best practices and ensure high quality program delivery
