Job Title:  Senior Manager, Technical Learning (Operations NA) 

 Job Summary:  

L’Oreal Senior Manager, People Development & Learning Operations NA is responsible for driving Learning Initiatives that enable both individual & organizational growth to propel business priorities forward. The individual in this role is responsible for managing the needs assessment, coordination, execution, and evaluation of all Operations courses with a focus on job specific expertise & technical upskilling for 3,000+ employees. 

 
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts to develop solutions and design experiential, impactful learning sessions that utilize virtual engagement tools and adult learning principles. 

  • Partner and align all technical training Must Haves with Global Stakeholders including strong partnership and influence with the Global Operations  Learning team. 

  • Ensure Learning offer reflects L'Oreal NA priorities and L'Oreal Global Learning standards of excellence. Liaise with Global Learning team and Corporate Learning team to align on vision, share best practices and adapt global content to local market. 

  • Identify & define Operations NA learning needs with key stakeholders to promote continuous improvement 

  • Construct impactful communications to Operations employees to increase program awareness, participation & drive course enrollments to achieve increased attendance of target audience. 

  • Lead core strategic technical program design, provide support, networking & insight​. 

  • Manage program/course logistics (calendar planning, securing location, preparing training materials, implementing pre and post program actions) 

  • Create all sessions within L’Oreal’s Learning Management System, manage enrollment, capture & mark attendance and manage changes as needed. 

  • Partner with HRBPs to communicate nomination-based programs and ensure target population is in attendance. 

  • Manage post-program feedback, report on results, and make recommendations to constantly improve program quality. 

  • Create Purchase Orders, manage chargebacks & coordinate with the Finance department to maintain accurate budget. 

  • Prepare training audit reports, capture KPIs and conduct data analysis to provide concise, accurate presentations of data. 

  • Perform special projects as needed. 

 Competencies Required:  

 

Technical / Professional 

  • 6+ years of work experience in Learning / HR preferred 

  • Developing and Delivering solutions – Instructional Design, storytelling and facilitation skills 

  • Learning Practice knowledge of adult learning principles and L&D best practices and trends. 

  • Consultation – Ability to consult on the best learning experience and solution 

  • Creativity and innovation – ability to solve problems and pursue possibilities 

  • Business Acumen – Knowledge of business dynamics and P&L, Operations challenges and key trends, competitors, market trends and consumers 

  • Data Analysis – Perform business analyses and learning needs assessment to drive results 

  • Project and Time Management – Ability to set goals and finish deliverables on time 

  • Strategic thinking – Ability to understand organizational goals, formulate objectives, determine priorities and link to learning
