The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and implementing the multi-channel retail strategy for the Luxury Division portfolio of brands.  Your primary objective will be to lead a dynamic team in achieving retail KPI’s such as; retail targets, customer experience objectives, store development plans & sales acceleration, beauty advisor retention, and market share growth. 

This is a challenging position, suited to someone with excellent communication skills, embodying an inspirational coaching and leadership mindset, and able to work with multiple stakeholders in New Zealand and Australia. 

The role is based in the L’Oreal Auckland office and will be working closely, with the guidance of the New Zealand Luxe Market Director and the Melbourne based retail team to implement strategy and localize retail plans.

    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, working hand-in-hand with the commercial, marketing, education, retail operations, visual merchandising, and PR team to maximise the return on investment
    • Manage the retail budget on an annual basis and revise during each new trend period throughout the year
    • Creates development and coaching plans for direct reports, connecting frequently for ongoing feedback and support
    • Present retail plans to retailers with strong conviction to leverage exposure, quickly react to changing trends and use insights to unlock growth 
    • Develop key retail strategies in partnership with Australia and inspire the local team on key projects and driving retail excellence in trade
    • Monitor performance and support the team in tracking success with clear business plans and objectives
    • Analyse competitor activity in the market and share insights with the team
    • Follows efficient meeting standards, developed internally, to set the example for the rest of team and create greater efficiency


  • Tertiary qualified in business or marketing with at least 3-5 years retail experience, ideally in the beauty or luxury goods industry 
  • Must have experience managing a team preferably in field
  • Excellent communicator to engage and deal with various internal and external stakeholders 
  • You must be self-motivated & driven to be able to drive your own results and manage your time efficiently
  • Strong influencing skills in both written and verbal communication
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office suite
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects on time & to a high standard
  • Engaging presentation skills



  • This role could require occasional travel to Melbourne 2-3x per year and likely some local travel for store visits as needed
