Director/AVP, Learning for Transformation: Marketing U


Job Summary

L’Oreal USA Learning for Transformation is seeking an experienced marketing strategist to join our dynamic Marketing U team. This role supports Marketing U in acting as an internal school of excellence for the modern era of marketing, serving all LUSA Divisions and Brand marketing teams. This person will be responsible for leading program development and instructional design of all category expertise trainings and collaborating on development/execution of marketing strategy, with a goal of developing marketers that have a consumer-centric, digital-first mindset.

The right person for this role is an exceptional strategic leader with expertise in beauty marketing and experience overseeing and personally managing business objectives and product/campaign launches. They must have a strong understanding of the business of marketing and passion for employee development. An entrepreneurial attitude paired with a ‘roll-up your sleeves’ approach will be key.

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Marketing U Programs
  • Co-create marketing strategy programming that drives L’Oréal into the modern era of marketing with a more consumer-centric, digital-first mindset
  • Develop and execute beauty category specific trainings that foster expertise amongst junior marketers and digital experts
  • Consult on divisional training initiatives for category specific topics
  • Source internal facilitators for program case studies and consult in development of their materials
  • Analyze participant feedback and marketer needs and adapt as necessary to drive program effectiveness and engagement
  • Establish strong partnerships with divisional HR Directors to better serve employees

Learning Practice

  • Act as liaison with Global Marketing U learning partners
  • Manage MyLearning Virtual Training Portal including budgeting, compliance, and US curriculum

Core Qualifications/Job Requirements

  • BA/BS degree
  • 7+ years working in a Marketing role with proven knowledge of business dynamics, brand communications, consumer insights, and employee development
  • Beauty brand experience preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience facilitating workshops and presenting to senior-level audiences
  • Ability to build effective partnerships and interact successfully with diverse individuals at all levels
