The Area Manager (Retail and Education) for IT Cosmetics is fully responsible for the success of their geographical area with the primary task of delivering their specific retail target. You will deliver the highest results in all performance indicators by passionately leading a Retail team to achieve on a daily basis.  When in-store, as an Area Manager you'll mentor & develop your Account Managers and Beauty Advisors by selling side-by-side with them, while also passionately seeking ways to grow each of their business doors, surpassing sales and service targets and other key performance indicators (KPI’s).   • Ensuring sales are maximised through effective analysis of sales data, monitoring of activity, setting of priorities and evaluation of business initiatives.
  • Monitor and ensure achievement of retail targets.
  • Follow through on all promotional activity to ensure sales are maximised, stocks are at appropriate levels and high standards maintained.
  • Provide pro-active feedback to internal departments, investigate and drive discussions on issues involving the accounts.
  • Maintain awareness of industry activities.


  • Recruit, develop and motivate a team of Account Managers and Beauty Advisors
  • On-counter coaching for sales teams to achieve high standards of customer service
  • Manage the resolution of any performance or conduct issues effectively. Conduct any formal processes with HR
  • Organisation and implementation of unique incentives with marketing teams


Manage your journey plan to ensure regular visits, overseeing day-to-day business including the following:

  • Successful implementation of business plans & new product launches
  • In-store Merchandising
  • Efficient administration and reporting


  • Previous retail and team management experience, ideally within beauty industry
  • Experience and understanding of effective sales techniques and customer service
  • Strong analytical skills
