Urban Decay Cosmetics is seeking an energetic, sales-driven, Area Sales Manager to join our team.



The Area Sales Manager drives sales revenue to exceed budget by passionately leading and developing a sales team and by building strong account relationships.


 


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES



Excellent ability to recruit, hire and train successful sales managers and Urban Decay Field Staff. This includes but is not limited to the ability to lead and motivate an area by developing direct reports to achieve / exceed budgets by account and by door.


 


Mentor and develop staff and lead by example when:  demonstrating product, building a sale, maintaining cleanliness standards, respecting store standards, following policies and procedures and applying make-up. 


 


Build and maintain store management relationships through consistent communication with all Account levels (Merchants, Store Manager, Regional Manager and Department Manager). 


 


Establish strategies to drive the business through seasonal sales meetings.


 


Strategically plan store events and actively support events and team.


 


Develop direct reports to ensure success with retail partner, direct reports and peers.  Mentor and develop team in: effective hiring, executing motivating trainings, planning and implementing successful events, selling product, building the sale and make-up artistry.


 


Track inventory, communicate issues.


 


Communicate weekly/monthly results with your Field Staff to reinforce achievement.


 


Present product quarterly while providing informative & motivating product trainings.


 


Reporting: calendars (as outlined by account), expenses and event recaps. 


 


Partner with Human Resource Department and Sales Support Manager to resolve employee related issues and performance reviews.


 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



•BA/BS in Business, Marketing or related field; or equivalent experience referred


•5 years’ experience in leading, coaching and managing sales team of direct & non -direct reports


•Excellent verbal communication skills, strong written communication skills


•Excellent make-up application and artistry skills


•Superior time management and prioritization skills


•Excellent coaching, mentoring and teaching skills


•Strong ability in developing and leading a team


•Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and Airset


•Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
