Baxter of California is seeking an Assistant  Marketing Manager to join our team in West Hollywood, CA.  

Job Summary:

Responsible for managing all aspects of customer experience for Baxter of California, including the day-to-day go-to-market operations of product launches and renovations in the U.S. market– both online and offline. Contribute to development of category/launch 360° marketing plans, while fully owning select marketing projects. Interact effectively with all departments to support marketing objectives, including Sales, Creative, Finance, eCommerce, Paid Media/Partnerships, Education, Demand Planning/MSL. Monitor and analyze business results, stay informed on key marketing trends and make recommendations to improve business operations. Demonstrate digital-first marketing acumen through shared responsibility for developing social media content, SEO optimization, eCommerce PDP management and email marketing direction. 


Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field. 
  • 2-3 years brand management experience, preferably with beauty industry-related experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills and forecasting experience. 
  • Strong execution, leadership and consensus building/decision making skills. 
  • Computer literacy on Windows, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel. 
  • Ability to travel domestically periodically (max. 25%).
  • Language skills a plus.

Judgment and Decision Making:

This position requires intermittent supervision. An ideal candidate would be able to work autonomously to complete projects and assignments as well as work cross functionally to achieve short and long-term brand objectives.  Training and supervision will be provided by manager, category head and through corporate training initiatives to foster continued career growth and development.

  1. Contribute to the development of 360° go-to-market plans and own the day-to-day execution for key launches and category animations across all channels in US market – serving as the liaison between key cross-functional partners (Sales, Marketing, Creative, Finance, eCommerce, Paid Media/Partnerships, Education, Demand Planning/MSL) ensuring on-time execution and elevating risks in a timely manner to Director/VP




  1. Support the Sales team by providing full marketing support for sell-in/sell-thru conversations with key retailers in both Luxe & Pro channels (Nordstrom, Ulta, Macy’s, SalonCentric and more), representing launches/category animations on monthly calls with the sales team and manage asset/creative requests as needed  


  1. Demonstrate digital-first marketing skills by being the team lead in SEO optimization (blog content/PDP pages), creating A+ content for Amazon, developing social media content for respective launches and providing brand direction for email marketing


  1. Contribute to the development of the full-year marketing plan by being a go-to-market trend expert – researching innovative ways to influence the customer journey and sharing recommendations with the teams


  1. Support the Director/VP in preparation for key brand meetings – including monthly management reviews, sales alignments and customer presentations
