One of centers set up in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – BEST KL (BEST stands for Business Expertise, Services & Technologies), provides financial services to over 20 L’Oréal markets across North Asia & SAPMENA (South Asia Pacific, Middle East & North Africa) regions.  

Overview of the role 

The Controlling Analyst is responsible for 

  • Preparing SG&A trend and Capex in the system 
  • Aligning with country stakeholders on values 
  • Assessing risk and ops and adapt financials  
  • Analyze actuals. Provide monthly analysis 
  • Validate expenses in the system such as POs/ T&E 
  • The role oversees end to end processes in the area Controlling SG&A 
  • He / she reports directly to Sr./ Controlling Manager.


Key Job Responsibility 

  • Aligns country budget holders on SG&A key metrics by BN for the country/division 
  • Builds Trend and budget in the system for SG&A 
  • Tracks actual performance and shares monthly analysis identifying risks and opportunities 
  • Becomes the subject matter expert on SG&A topics for a specific country/division and/or BN 
  • Ensures compliance with internal controls and monitors risks and barriers.  
  • Independently manage complexity market portfolios*
  • Able to mentor junior, be the champion of the role.  
  • Has strong business acumen for its responsible country, collaboratively build strong relationship with stakeholders. 
  • Independent manage the communication/review meeting and build influencing power with Division Controlling Head/country CFOs level 
  • Beyond operational part, be able to drive and lead process optimization projects, problem solving.


Who we are looking for 

  • Minimum of 3 years in Controlling with experience in operating expenses management, 5 years above for Sr. Analyst 
  • Experience in a multinational company  
  • Strong financial, IT and analytical skills coupled with operational focus 
  • Strong communication skills with stakeholders
