L’Oréal Luxe Australia has a unique portfolio which combines traditional beauty, couture and alternative new luxury brands. The division delivers a unique world of beauty in three major specialisations – make-up, skincare and fragrance. In the Australian market our Head Office and Field teams work together to bring the brands Lancôme, YSL Beaute, Giorgio Armani, shu uemura, Urban Decay and the fragrances under the Prestige Collection International umbrella, to our consumers through department stores, selected pharmacies and ecommerce.

We are seeking a Brand General Manager to join our leadership team. Entrepreneurial in approach you will bring an ambition which can be delivered while being able to balance the commercial and strategic priorities of a high revenue, fast-growing brand and business. A natural business leader you will appreciate retail excellence within a commercial context while using your creative talents to captivate our customers and consumers. Engaging and leading a team of dedicated people you will foster a collaborative “one luxe” culture.

 About the role

  • Increase our luxury brands market share and sales growth via driving modern retail practices
  • Define, optimise and monitor budget objectives with full brand profit & loss responsibility
  • Lead all end-to-end strategic business planning activities for the local market including sales, marketing, VM and planning
  • Build the internal and external image and reputation with customers and consumers enhancing our brands' attraction, image, awareness and experience

 About you

  • Deep experience within the retail environment with the ability to create and implement contemporary strategies, ideally within a luxury setting
  • Sound commercial expertise including accountability for delivering sales growth and profit & loss management
  • A flexible and adaptable style which encourages collaboration and engagement from your teams
  • A willingness to experiment and influence those around you to go beyond what was thought possible
