What You Will Learn:

Manage and direct the safe efficient conduct of manufacturing operations to achieve 100% attainment of the monthly production schedule while adhering to prescribed quality control standards and ensuring that inventory objectives and new product launch date schedules are met.  Responsible for the management and development of the department’s supervisors, leads, mechanics and operators.  Manage the execution of daily weekly, and monthly continuous improvement processes to ensure delivery of financial KPIs.

  • Manage production operations to achieve attainment of the production plan by implementing the short-term fixed schedule.
  • Supervise and train the production work force in methods and procedures that maximize the efficient operation and application of the means of production.
  • Develop and implement improved work procedures that enhance manufacturing efficiency.
  • Recommend/implement capital equipment improvements to enhance the capacity, efficiency, and productivity of the means of production.
  • Observe “Good Manufacturing Practices” (GMP).
  • Implement L’Oréal quality assurance procedures.
  • Facilitate an effective employee/labor relations environment within the production unit.
  • Maintain appropriate records and complete necessary reports in a timely manner
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis investigations when deviations from safety, quality or performance targets occur.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work area and implement L’Oréal environmental programs.
  • Where applicable, manage supporting warehouse activities.
  • Manage and implement all L’Oréal policies and practices including, but not limited to, the Corporation’s Equal Employment Opportunity Policy, etc.
  • Perform other duties as necessary or required.

 

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

Education: 

Bachelor’s degree in major technical field or Management required, Engineering degree preferred or equivalent experience 

Experience: 

Must have Five (5) to eight (8) years’ experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

  • 6 Sigma certification (green or black belt or master BB) is a plus.  
  • Team management experience is strongly preferred.  
  • Excellent Microsoft skills required (Excel, Power Point, Word).
