L’Oréal Australia’s Operations includes our Warehouse, Customer Care, Master Data and Supply Chain teams. These teams work in partnership with our Divisions to ensure we continuously improve our supply chain and achieve greater agility and efficiency to meet the needs of our distributor customers. Operations have an important responsibility to focus on uncompromising standards of quality control, employee safety and our environmental commitments. 


About the role

Our Supply Chain team has recently implemented a new structure which separates demand and supply planning. We are on the journey of implementing integrated business planning process into our BAU activities, we’re not there yet! We are seeking a Demand Planner to join us, challenge us and grow with us on our journey.  

Reporting to the Planning Manager you will be responsible for the demand plan for a large fast moving portfolio that is aligned to budget and strategic plans. You will be a crucial interface between the planning function and other areas of the business, including commercial, marketing, finance and our international businesses.  In addition your responsibilities will include:

  •      Creation and development of large volume SKU demand forecast through analysis of sales data and liaison with commercial and marketing  teams
  •        Ensuring forecasts accurately reflect company plans and future promotional activities
  •      Participating in the Sales and Operation Planning process culminating in Forecast Validation meetings by providing analytical data to support decision making and chairing discussion where required
  •     Collaborating with the Customer Supply Chain function to ensure clear and timely communication of relevant information to customers and commercial stakeholders and to ensure the accuracy of the demand plan

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have strong experience within a high SKU environment acting in demand and/or supply planning capacity. Possessing the capability to manage complexity in a high pressure environment you will be able to effectively communicate meaningful information to different areas of the business. A considerable analytical skill set will be highly regarded as will a collaborative mind-set. Previous experience within the FMCG or retail environments will be advantageous as will a flexible, results oriented approach.
