Direct Sourcing Manager, Raw Materials for Skin Better Science

Job Role: 

Responsible for the Integration of the Skin Better Science acquisition with regards to Raw Materials Sourcing topics.

Business Collaboration

  • Main Liaison for sourcing financial performance, sourcing compliance (vendor onboarding, activation, etc), development and reporting of sourcing trends/budgets in-line with CM Pack Business Teams and Sourcing Acquisition Head teams. 
  • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholder teams to anticipate cost optimization and to secure the supply of raw material to maximize business profitability for the brand.  
  • Propose, translate, and lead business model to support brand ambitions.
  • Contribute, Implement, and pilot (with WW sourcing teams) the global sourcing strategies with our métier business strategies for North America Zone for the brand. 
  • Develop and drive the sourcing vision for, with, and through the external + internal stakeholder community to better integrate the newly acquired brand. 

Launch and Operational Performance

  • Act as key métier point of contact for raw material sourcing on new product launches with each key stakeholders (WW sourcing, Plants, R&I, Development, SCM, Pilot) until integration is completed and while business is running at CM scope.
  • Collaborate on supplier performance, and continuous improvements in the supply base to reduce risk and waste in the supply chain.
  • Provide Operational assistance to meet service level goals. 

Qualifications and Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Finance/Engineering/Supply Chain or similar discipline. 
  • 5+ years purchasing experience 
  • High degree of financial and analytical aptitude a must 
  • Excellent influencing and negotiating skills 
  • Exceptionally strong Excel and MS office skills 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to handle various situations, multiple priorities, changing business needs as well as the diverse personalities within L’Oreal and the supplier community.
