What You Will Do:

As Director, LUXE Sourcing, you will play a critical role in leading and executing direct sourcing strategies for Urban Decay and Youth To The People brands for packaging and contract manufacturing portfolios. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product Development, Supply Chain, and Finance, to ensure seamless product launches, optimize costs, and drive gross margin improvement. 

 

The Director will manage all aspects of supplier relationships, from selection and onboarding to performance monitoring and issue resolution. This individual will be a key driver of innovation, leveraging market insights and trends to identify sourcing opportunities that support business growth and profitability. 

 

  • Product Launch Execution: Partnering cross-functionally to ensure seamless product launches, managing supplier selection, optimizing costs and lead times, and proactively addressing potential supply chain challenges.
  • Sourcing Optimization: Leveraging market insights to drive cost savings, leading MTV discussions, and contributing sourcing expertise to product innovation.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Preparing and presenting performance updates, effectively communicating business needs and sourcing strategies to relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Supplier Performance Management: Managing pricing, resolving issues, mitigating risks, and overseeing new code implementation within relevant systems. This also includes managing purchase orders as required.
  • FINANCIAL Performance
    1. Accountable for purchasing financial performance including monthly variance reporting, and development of purchasing trends/budgets. 
    2. In charge of building and aligning all stakeholders around a road map for the future of the brand’s sourcing of packaging and contract manufactured items.
    3. Responsible for identifying, initiating and lead sourcing optimization projects (cost reduction, agility improvement, sustainability improvement, supply securitization) through negotiation and new project execution to meet annual goals

 

 

What We Are Looking For:

 

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related discipline; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience strategic sourcing 
  • Team management experience
  • High degree of financial and analytical aptitude a must
  • Excellent influencing and negotiating skills
  • Exceptionally strong Excel and MS office skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to handle various situations, multiple priorities, changing business needs
