What You Will Do:

The Dir of Marketing is responsible for the development and execution of US 360 marketing programs in line with established strategic divisional goals.  The Dir has overall responsibility for supporting the brand vision for the future 1-2 years, achieving the annual budget plan, as well as the growth of the brand in their respective channels. Primary focus for this role will be consumer channel inclusive of Sephora, Ulta and Amazon. Partner with respective departments to translate national concepts into retailer specific action plans as well as propose and actively co-lead development projects which address retailer specific needs or opportunities, ultimately driving retail sales and gain of market share. They will interface with departments such as: Sales/business development, finance, education, public relations, marketing services, creative, packaging vendors for localized promotions, global marketing teams and Executive Management. Must be able to represent the Pureology brand in high visibility retailer specific corporate meetings and strategy sessions, ensuring image, presentation and actions support brand equity and the strengthening of brand position. 

•Develop and ensure execution of strategic marketing plans to build profitability and grow market share. Develop strategic activation calendar through collaborative effort with cross functional teams to drive sales and maintain effective brand image and innovation

•Responsible for Account Planning Process (Managing Deck Creation and on-time completion).  Ensure accuracy of deck (strategy, placements, promo, products, formatting).  Map promos and call out any timing concerns.

•Master launch and promo planning process, timing and milestones needed to execute with excellence.

•Full Launch dimensionalization (BOC, benchmarks, promo quantities, SC promo forecasting meeting) & partnership with Demand Planning to ensure tracking to correct forecast.  Responsible for re-trending launches as year progresses.   Responsible for understanding and speaking to launch benchmarks and assumptions at forecasting meeting.   Responsible for accuracy of all forecast inputs in passport, DPM, etc. 

•Encompasses a Métier sensitivity: aesthetic sense, interest in GTM trends

 

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business related function required 
  • Minimum 7+ years progressively responsible experience successfully guiding strategic marketing, branding, and product management within beauty or retail management.
  • Self motivated, results oriented, creative thinker  
  • Exceptional financial acumen required including experience with budgeting and P&L management. Analytical in approach to identifying business opportunities.
  • Proven success in managing sell in account responsibilities and negotiations. Sephora or Ulta preferred
  • Leadership experience including the ability to lead, motivate, and foster relationship with cross functional partners. Leadership of direct reports preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across functional areas of the business enabling the successful achievement of initiatives across all brand categories.
  • Superior communication skills.  Need to be able to articulate clear business direction and strategies. Also, to liaise between different departments, participate in senior level management discussions and facilitate the creative process at all levels.
  • Ability to travel domestically periodically (25%).

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA Preferred not required
  • Sephora, Ulta and Amazon highly preferred.
