Kiehl's DMI Director, Global Social Media Creative

POSITION SUMMARY

  • Lead the brand image for Kiehl’s social platform worldwide
  • Support the VP of Kiehl’s Global Digital Creative in content creation and overseeing creative across our social platforms
  • Support various initiatives and partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, International Business Development, Communications as well as global partners and external vendors

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Must have experience creating content across US and APAC markets, and have expert level knowledge and cultural insights for these markets
  • Must be an expert in Social Media, with demonstrated experience knowing what works, and what doesn't.  Understands the need to be responsive, to rapidly create social content that's on brand and relevant, in our fast paced, ever-changing industry
  • Must be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced creative environment, and is fluent in social media, photography and digital advertising platforms
  • Must be a keen follower of technology, worldwide events, and pop culture, and understand how to create engaging, meaningful content for Kiehl’s brand

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Create concepts, pre-production and post production; execute all social media creative needs, including videography & photography, graphic design for all digital & social channels
  • Bring innovative ideas from conceptualization to social media platforms for all digital and social campaigns
  • Maintain visual and conceptual consistency across multi-channel brand strategy for collections and brand initiatives and apply to all social/digital platforms
  • Conceptualize breakthrough (brand appropriate) digital creative that is modern and disruptive with dynamic storytelling
  • Respond to briefs with creative visual solutions
  • Oversee/attend digital photoshoots and oversee retouching
  • Oversee the production process for all social media creative assets
  • Self-starter, must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment while working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Possess an open attitude and collaborative style; must collaborate with cross-functional teams and with our key global partners
  • Monitor competitive social landscape, market changes and developments; remain current on emerging industry and digital trends; provide highly strategic recommendations

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Strong conceptual abilities, exceptional art direction skills and a solid knowledge of the digital & social media landscape
  • 10 years in a highly productive creative environment, with 4-6 years of design experience centered on digital/social media
  • Experience managing and mentoring a team of designers
  • Strong portfolio of real-world work that showcases retail-focused design thinking and expertise in social media content creation
  • Experience working with tight deadlines
