A Day in the Life
As a Purchasing Intern focusing on sourcing cost optimization at our Cairo plant, you will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. You'll collaborate with various functions, including the Production and Color & Artwork teams, contributing to cost-effective sourcing strategies for packaging materials. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges and contribute directly to L'Oréal's growth.
Sourcing Strategy & Analysis: You will assist in analyzing current sourcing strategies, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing cost-saving initiatives. This includes market research, supplier analysis, and benchmarking.
Supplier Relationship Management: You will support the team in managing relationships with key suppliers, participating in negotiations, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials.
Data Analysis & Reporting: You will utilize data analysis skills to track key metrics, identify trends, and prepare reports to communicate findings and recommendations to the team.
Project Support: You will assist in various projects related to sourcing cost optimization, gaining exposure to the entire procurement process from request to payment.
We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering). They possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent communication and negotiation abilities. They are also adept at prioritizing tasks and working effectively within a team.
Prioritization: Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize based on urgency and importance.
Problem-Solving Abilities: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges related to sourcing and cost optimization.
Negotiation: Confidence and skill in negotiating favorable terms with suppliers.
Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
