MISSION: jointly grow with retailers the Health &Beauty market 


Shopper & Retailer & Market Understanding

•             Understand the Shopper Journey (what’s happening before, during and after purchase)

•             Identify new retail trends and understand the Cross channel shopper: ecommerce, proxy stores, category killers…

•             Understand in-store shopper behavior and purchase decision tree

•             Build strong case to advocate the importance of our categories (growth, profit, image, penetration, loyalty, spending…)

•             Understand retailer performance, opportunities, KPIs and anchor our plans around that

Key Business Drivers: understand and optimize key business drivers to build profitable business

•             Understand the importance of each driver on the category to focus on what makes the difference

•             Assortment focus: Drive Range review process internally (prioritize CPD objectives by customer and align with the commercial teams in full respect of the legal compliance. Arbitrates inter-affaires potential conflicts) and externally (define external goals, action plans and a timeline together with the retailer)

•             Merchandising focus: MacroSpace analyis / store layout, Category merchandising principles, Secondary Placement.

Category Vision: develop winning (L’Oréal + Retailer + Shopper) category vision leveraging the strengths of our portfolio

  • Factually based on Shopper & Retailer & Business Drivers knowledge, develops together with the Sales Development Manager a vision and strategy for each of the key categories and for each channel (I.e. Drug, Food, discounters etc…)  

Internal & Customer Activation

•             Internally: Be the expert on shopper behavior, key business partner for Marketing and Key Account teams. Consolidate and update all the communication supports allowing the good communication of the of the CPD category strategy

•             Externally

  1.   Gain the trust and respect via an objective and total category approach that will lead to strong relationship and alignment, including at top level, to influence catman decisions and ultimately gain ‘category captaincy’.
  2. Deliver the category vision and strategies to all stakeholders of the customers and supervises the construction of the category strategy
  3. Develop and prioritize projects, Supervise as a "project manager",  Measure the impact and communicate within the organization, Secure easy roll-out


•             Capacity to analyze large volumes of data. Ability to analyze the performance.

•             Very good understanding of marketing strategies, shopper/consumers studies and panels

•             Very good understanding of the health and beauty market, brand equity and market distribution

•             Knowledge of modern sales tools and data systems (CRM, digital...)

•             Good communication  skills and sense of contact

•             Objectivity

•             Change Management & Influencing Skills
