HR Business Partner - Physical Distribution
9 month Fixed term contract
What are key highlights of this role?
This is both a strategic and hands on role, you are an active HR Partner and contributor as a member of the Physical Distribution Leadership Team, providing input, strong influence and counsel on HR related issues to successfully meet the business objectives. You will act as a proactive advisor and coach that provided the full cycle of HR support to the Distribution centre.
The role will include up 40% travel to other UKI physical distribution sites and head office in Hammersmith but will primarily be based in the Nottingham Distribution centre (DC). You will also work closely with the Head of HR for Phsyical Distribution and the wider HR Business Partners to ensure the best possible employee experience.
As part of your role, you will be able to quickly build strong relationships with internal managers and employees and be the first point of contact for HR related queries. You will be able to think on your feet, be solutions focused and results driven whilst also balancing long term thinking with delivering everyday operational excellence.
·You will be responsible for delivering an operational and strategic HR function to the Distribution center, proactively bringing the people strategy to life, supporting and contributing to delivery of the UKI Phsyical Distribution business plans.
·Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues if required, conduct effective, objective and thorough investigations, supporting all sites within the UKI when required ensuring compliance with UK employment law and code of ethics
·Create people-centric plans to meet business demands through a strong understanding of how talent fits into the Physical Distribution strategy and how to develop talent.
·Facilitate and manage the talent review process and succession planning in partnership with Physical Distribution management
·Provide insights from employee data to improve processes, employee engagement and policy alignment across the business.
·Drive healthy and positive organisational culture in line with the L’Oreal ‘Simplicity Culture’, partnering with business leaders by developing and executing strong human resources strategies including Diversity and Inclusion.
·Contribute to the wider L’Oréal HR team and participate in the delivery and execution of wider HR projects.
·Manage Compensation & Benefits for your population including annual salary review process and communications.
·Collaborate with the L’Oreal learning team to enhance site training opportunities and drive forwards succession planning for the site
·Work in Partnership with our recognized Unions and help delivery of the annual wage negotiations
·Recruitment of talented individuals (with the UKI recruitment team) targeting zero vacancies, diversity and a pipeline of talent
·Own the talent and succession planning agenda ensuring compelling careers for your population
·Work alongside the Head of HR of Physical Distribution, divisional HRDs and HRMs to effectively manage headcount and salary mass elements for your populations.

·CIPD qualified or with suitable alternative proven practical HR experience
·Full working knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations best practice including union experience (preferred)
