Professional Products Division


The Professional Products Division (PPD) is universally known for exclusively supplying salons and other professional customers with the most advanced technologies in hair care, styling and colouring products. The brands within this division are L’Oréal Professionnel, Redken, Pureology, Kérastase, Shu Uemura, Matrix & Pulp Riot.


You will:


As Head of Category Management PPD, your role will be to identify, lead, & bring significant opportunities to influence and grow professional hair services across all our categories and channels within PPD. Your expertise in this area will be leveraged to bring incremental value, process and structure to create a B2B & B2C category vision for the entire division.

You will consistently interact with all the brands and multiple functions within the division to activate your strategies.  You will be working in conjunction with business intelligence, business transformation, CMO,  marketing, commercial, merchandising and the finance teams and you will have the ability to gain cross-functional knowledge and capabilities.

You will be expected to help build both category & channel strategies, backed up with a creative but realistic plan to land in store & online. This role will be an integral role within the Business Transformation Team, reporting into the General Manager of Business Transformation. As such, you will be a integral member of the Business Transformation Leadership Team (BTLT).


RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Creation & execution of long-term Professional Services & Retail Category & Channel Strategy for PPD Division. Identify & gain alignment on professional services & retail category growth drivers.
Drive Category & Channel strategy to tangible omni-channel category execution.
Identify and execute ‘triple-win’ growth opportunities (win for the consumer, for the salons & retail partners, for LPPD)
Be the shopper expert for professional services & retail categories – recommend & deliver plans which will enable our customers to maximise conversion & gain traction with their clients both online & in store.
Consolidate & rationalise multiple data sources & insights to create clear recommendations to enable PPD brands & customers to gain share of trade & win in the market
Develop full understanding & application of industry reports (KLINE), Ad Hoc research studies, and use appropriate data to drive understanding of professional beauty shoppers across different channels.
Develop close working relationship with the internal PPD Commercial, Marketing & Consumer Market Insights Teams. Understand all wider business objectives for professional beauty categories.

You have:


Extensive experience in category management
Ability to create a vision and implement clear strategies to realise this vision
A thirst to change things for the better and shape the future of the industry
Collaborative approach and the ability to influence multiple stakeholders and take them on the journey
Exceptional analytical skills. You can analyse large complex data sets to identify actionable incremental growth opportunities
Ability to work with multiple continuous data sources
Familiarity with ad hoc research studies – Shopper Missions, Path 2 Purchase, etc

Strong communication skills both written and oral
