Junior Legal Counsel Fixed-Term Contract

An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to join the Legal team of L’Oréal UK & Ireland, supporting the company’s Luxury Division, as a 10 month fixed-term contractor from 2nd March – 31st December 2020.


Reporting into the Associate General Counsel of L’Oréal UKI’s Luxury Division, you will provide commercial legal support to some of the world’s leading beauty brands, including Lancôme, Yves Saint Laurent Beauty, Giorgio Armani Beauty, Kiehl’s and Urban Decay. 


This role will primarily focus on contract management and the creation of processes, trackers and guidance documentation, so it necessitates an exceptionally organised, methodical and detailed individual.  Demonstrable experience of complex project management, coupled with highly-developed contract negotiation skills, will be essential. 


Key responsibilities will include:

 Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements

Supporting the integration of new brands within the business
Project managing the roll-out of new terms
Creation of effective processes and recording mechanisms
Delivering and supporting training and awareness throughout the business

NQ - 2+ PQE qualified lawyer
Experience of working on complex contractual negotiations in either a well-respected private practice or in-house environment
Project Management experience
Knowledge of competition law helpful but not essential
Must be available to start the position on 2nd March 2020 and be committed to the 10 month contract period on a full-time basis
