Regulatory Advisor

We are looking for a Regulatory Advisor to join our team from January 2021.

You will be responsible for UK REACH registration activities for the Group’s UK substance portfolio and become an expert in this area. This role reports into the Head of Regulatory Affairs and is part of the UK Scientific and Regulatory Affairs team who work across all L'Oréal UK & Ireland brands and divisions.


YOU WILL...

PURPOSE:

To provide regulatory support and advise the business on matters relating to UK chemicals legislation. The Regulatory Advisor will protect L'Oréal UK’s license to operate in marketing innovative beauty care products  by ensuring compliance with UK chemicals legislation.

KEY ELEMENTS OF THE ROLE:

A fast-paced collaborative environment working with multiple parts of the business. The team is an integral part of the business whose role is ever-changing to meet the needs of the business and our consumers.

The role will involve:

Developing knowledge and understanding of upcoming UK and existing EU chemical regulatory frameworks, ‘UK REACh’ and ‘EU REACh.’
Daily interaction with European REACH regulatory teams and external consultants to prepare registration dossiers.
Coordinating with analytical and consultant teams to prepare reports.
Reviewing substance registration dossiers (including chemical safety reports etc.) prepared by service providers.
Registering substance dossiers with UK REACh IT and update these as required.
Providing regulatory intelligence to the business.

YOU HAVE...

Alongside a proven track record in a Regulatory function and a passion for the products in our business:

•   Minimum good honours degree in one of the sciences, particularly, chemistry, biochemistry, biology

     or pharmacology.

Excellent knowledge of regulatory frameworks, preferably EU chemicals regulation.
Excellent project management skills. 
Strong cooperative team spirit. 
An aptitude for information systems and data management, including Excel. 

A working knowledge of cosmetic products regulations is desirable.
