Senior National Account Manager - Boots NYX and Dpt Stores

What are key highlights of this role?


L’Oréal UKI is seeking dynamic, results driven SNAM to lead one our most exciting Cosmetics brands – NYX Professional Make Up in our biggest customer Boots and also to manage this brand in Department stores such as Selfridges, Debenhams and Liberty.  The role will have 2 direct reports as well as working very closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and Merchandising.  The role also involves maximising the impact of the Beauty Assistants we have in all these accounts – working closely with head of retail ops and NYX training & education manager.  The role reports into the Cosmetics Director on Boots, you would also work closely with your counterparts on the other make up brands on Boots. 


Main responsibilities:

Achieve core sales, brand and profit targets:

     Sales, market share, P&L down to gross margin, ecomm growth and participation

Forecast accurately the sales and profit of the brand with support from supply chain.
Tracking and monitoring EPOS performance and spotting trends, anticipating issues / opportunities
Execute flawlessly range re-merches ensuring sales are maximized and returns and minimized.
Build customer plans based on Brand and Category Strategy team recommendations


 Build and develop a multifunctional team:

• Lead and engage the team

• Develop, train, coach the team members individually

• Cascade down information provided by manager


Manage a customer-centric approach:

Build a strong relationship with all relevant buyers and stakeholders
Identify sales opportunities to maximise sales and profit of the brand and ensure we gain share of fixture and voice.
Lead big customer meetings, managing multiple functions and different level customer contacts to ensure an effective meeting.
Be creative in terms of how you can animate the brand in Boots stores in order to drive new footfall into stores as well as disrupt within stores e.g. GWPs, Influencer Road Shows, Happy Hours, Masterclasses
 Accelerate on-line participation as NYX is a digitally lead brand with higher participation than our other make up brands.  Identify social media opportunities to help drive sales and highlight our USP.
Ensure BAs (Beauty assistants) are adding value and enhance the NYX experience in store and BA store sales are always ahead of non BA stores.
Manage the business plan negotiations for your brand and tracking against this all year



What key skills are L’Oréal looking for?


Cosmetics experience in mass or luxury categories
Significant experience in a customer-facing role managing a large customer
Proven experience of managing customer P&Ls and KPIs
Proven experience of turning around and managing complex customer relationships and situations
Experience in a marketing or merchandising role is a strong asset
