Job Summary

 Working within the picking, packing, and preparation of outbound shipments. Auditing of the outbound shipments as well as cycle counting bins within the warehouse for Quality Control. May also be responsible manual pallet jack to move and stack merchandise under the site’s safety guidelines.

 Job Requirements

A. Education:  High school graduate or equivalent.

 B. Experience:  1 year experience in warehouse environment

 C. Knowledge/Skills: Must be able to read, count accurately, do simple math and write legibly.  The ability to follow directions with emphasis on safety is extremely important. Must be able to shift priorities easily.

D. Special Requirements: Must have responsible work habits.  Must meet OSHA and company requirements for MHE training. Overtime is required periodically. Perform special projects as assigned.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Equipment-
  •  Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly  fashion
  • On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on assigned Equipment
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and OHSA standards
  1. Receiving/ Putaway-
  • Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas
  1. Order packing-
  • Responsible for verifying tote number to the UCC and delivery numbers, physically counting all contents, and verifying accuracy of the pick number.   Packer audits and delivers any box and appropriate form to Error Correction if there are any variances in numbers.
  1. Order Picking-
  • Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped
  1. Loading-
  • Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas
  1. Quality-
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
  • Report quality variances
  1. Safety, Housekeeping, Security-
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety
  • Comply with OHSA and other applicable standards. Report issues and problems to Management
  1.  Inventory-
  • Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained
  • Assist in physical inventories
  • Ensure proper stock rotation
  1. Communication-
  • Coordinate as necessary with all other departments/functions
  1. Value-Add Services-
  • May help pick, pack, and record storage
  • Pick and pack is defined as order picking and packing of products in less than or full case lots
  • Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking, and repacking as needed
  • Perform special projects/tasks as assigned
  • Safety:  Will support and abide by the company’s safety program and all safety initiatives, policies and procedures
