Job Title:  Manager, IT Identity & Access Management

Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ

Role description  

Technical expert responsible for managing and designing enterprise platforms and solutions within the Authentication, Identity Lifecycle, and Access Governance space.

Role Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Manage the implementation of standards and process for access enforcement and access governance across the enterprise
  • Help design architecture and technology strategy for Authentication solutions
  • Conduct maturity assessments and technology gap analysis for the IAM program
  • Troubleshoot and resolve security system access issues.
  • Analysis of requests for potential risk before action.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve security system access issues.
  • Answer general inquiries regarding information security practice or security access.
  • Make recommendations for implementing desired level of access controls;
  • Assist in implementing action plans to address system access issues.
  • Follow process and procedures to ensure compliance with policy
  • Develop reporting methods and ensure that metrics are captured and reported for the team, in order to monitor productivity and quality of service;
  • Answer general inquiries regarding information security practice or security access
  • Identify, define/approve and implement continuous process enhancements/improvements utilizing various tools and methodologies (i.e. creation of automation scripts). 
  • Provide metrics in order to monitor productivity and quality of service
  • Recommend procedural changes to enhance the functionality of Identity Access Management Team.

Candidate Evaluation Criteria

Candidates will be evaluated based on their ability to demonstrate a proven track record of proficiency at the following competencies:

  • Real world experience with IDM platforms and authentication technologies such as SAML, LDAP, SPML, OAuth, WS-Federation, Kerboros, NTLM, Sales Force Identity, and Azure Active Directory
  • Knowledge of solution protocols, including SSL/TLS, HTTP, SAML, Kerberos, S/MIME, SCIM, and oAuth
  • Based access control, authentication, and authorization, such as SailPoint, CyberArk, PowerBroker, Okta, Active Directory, or ForgeRock
  • Familiarity with Cloud service providers such as AWS, SalesForce and Azure
  • Experience in devising IAM strategies and implementing IAM solutions for complex enterprise environments with diverse user populations
  • Strong understanding of current IAM technologies with an interest in emerging technologies within the IAM space
  • Solid understanding of Identity Lifecycle, SSO, authentication models, and security concepts
  • Strong relationship building skills and collaboration skills
  • Ability to make sound business decisions and gain cooperation of others
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Works well under pressure

 

Typical Education and Experience

  • BS or higher degree in Computer science, Information Security, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in IT security, compliance and risk management, including privacy, data protection, security controls, etc.
  • Experience with specific IAM platforms: Azure Active Directory, AWS ID and SalesForce Identity
  • Understanding of how to support IAM on mobile platforms
  • General understanding of ITIL processes
  • Basic understanding of Information Security policies/practices; Candidate should have prior experience in the industry
  • Good familiarity with NTFS and Share Level Permissions
  • Up to date knowledge of current Information Security trends and potential threats based on weaknesses of various software/development packages
  • Working various scripting tools such as VBS, Perl, and/or Python is a plus.
  • Ability to efficiently troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve problems
  • Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly
