Job Description:  

L’Oreal Group has aggressively embraced the digital era, and has advanced many leading consumer-facing digital solutions across its business units.  Data specifically continues to be a vast strategic focus and powers our digital growth. We are seeking a Project Manager to be an integral team member in one of the largest transformation programs at L’Oreal, Data Driven Marketing (DDM).  DDM is the golden store of all information relating to our customers and will power every personalized consumer interaction.

The Project Manager will perform key functions to help ensure that current product features and ongoing enhancements operations are released according to our Agile methodology, on time and on budget.  The integral functions of our Project Manager include continuous backlog grooming with the product owner and sprint release management.  The ideal candidate will have a strong core understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile / SCRUM methodology.  This person will work directly with source system partners to document data dependencies, business leadership facilitate prioritization and status communication, and cross-team collaboration within the product team. You will be skilled in problem solving, risk escalation, governance, and time management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the product backlog and partner with the product owner to prioritize the features for sprint cycles
  • Collaborate with business / brand leadership to define objectives, stakeholders and definition of communication strategy
  • Support L’Oreal DDM Operations leader to oversee our vendor(s), manage project plan, financials, and triage service requests
  • Collaborate with teams across IT, Brand partners, and Vendors to create daily/weekly status updates on DDM
  • Schedule meetings as needed stakeholders to discuss key topics and issues
  • Log, track and escalate risks / actions / dependencies (RAID log)
  • Manage storage / archiving of all project documentation on the project collaboration site to ensure we are meeting internal and audit requirements
  • Support team meeting by capturing notes, aligning next steps and follow-up
  • Perform other duties as necessary

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, written and oral
  • Strong analytical & presentation skills - Microsoft PowerPoint & Excel
  • Expert in Agile tools (Confluence, Jira, Kanban boards)
  • Able to work in a fast paced, large team environment and multi-task
  • Analytical thinker and problem solver with an affinity towards data
  • Microsoft Excel expert and able to use to track financial actuals and forecasts
  • Able to liaison with business and technology team members
  • Understanding of Project Management, preferably Agile method

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field
  • IT Project Management Career Path
  • Expert in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in project management / financial planning
  • Fundamental understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile method
  • Experience supporting the operations of a major cloud technology solution,  Big Data platform is preferred
