What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a Manager or Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition to lead end-to-end recruitment across the IT, Human Resources, and Finance functions (internships and Management Trainee programs) as well as spearhead University Relations and programming for all functions to support our Early Careers campus recruitment and talent development. 

The ideal candidate will bring proven experience recruiting across diverse universities in the US and internationally as a recruiter. You should demonstrate strong a learning agility and be able to adapt to fast changing business scenarios with creativity. You should have strong project management and communication skills to work across various stakeholders in and outside of the organization. Top candidates will show a mixture of operational excellence and strategy development along with the ability to forge strong cross-functional partnerships.

What you’ll do (but not limited to because we build our own job descriptions here!):

Recruitment lead:

  • Partner with Hiring Managers and HR business partners from all divisions (Consumer, Luxury, Professional and Active Cosmetics) to understand hiring needs and develop cohesive search strategies for open and upcoming Early Careers positions (internships and Management Trainee programs) for IT, HR, Finance.
  • Develop and maintain deep and specific network of active and passive talents, through direct sourcing, advanced posting strategies, referrals and networking.
  • Innovate and animate cutting-edge recruitment strategies with a focus on delivering an excellent candidate experience and enhancing our employer brand – we take a test & learn approach to creating deeper connections with the best candidates in the market and empower our recruiters to think creatively about how best to do so.
  • Serve as a business partner to Hiring Managers and Divisional HR partners by providing industry insights regarding the talent trends, competition, etc. You develop and showcase a deep industry/functional expertise including where the best talent is, what top candidates are looking for and which companies are struggling/winning.
  • Drive offer process, including reference checks, salary recommendation/negotiation, offer letter generation and offer responses.
  • Grow and maintain L’Oréal USA talent pipeline through sourcing activity and networking while ensuring data quality and integrity through utilization of CRM database and Applicant Tracking System (ATS); both hosted through Avature.
  • Participate in campus recruitment activities including career fairs, candidate screening and interview days.

University Relations and Programming:

  • Serve as the key point of contact for all Universities
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with partner universities as well as provide insights and direction to internal teams
  • Partner with internal Diversity & Inclusion team and Employer Branding to recommend and execute a University Relations strategy that is scalable and reaching a wide audience including adapting virtual programming
  • Build and manage a holistic campus strategy for company treks, events, national conferences
  • Spearhead Brandstorm, an annual global group case competition, to increase awareness, attraction, participation, and candidate conversion
  • Responsible for digital recruitment partnerships for the team to reach wider candidate pool such as Handshake
  • Manage budget and PO process

What you’ll bring:

  • About 3-6 years professional experience in either full life-cycle recruitment across as a campus recruiter.  Experience recruiting for CPG.
  • Experience managing University Relations with various campuses in the US preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • A team player with exceptional interpersonal, presentation, influencing and communication skills
  • Advanced candidate assessment capabilities – understand what makes a strong talent and show an ability to advocate and influence on behalf of the very best.
  • Ability to strategically source diverse candidates including fluency in Boolean Logic, LinkedIn Recruiter and CRM / ATS systems (Avature preferred).  To be a successful, you are expected to develop and showcase an expert-level ability to (1) direct-source and (2) manage candidate pipelines in our CRM.

  • Superior organizational skills and a high attention to detail to manage multiple projects and high candidate volumes
  • Strong ability to think on your feet, change, or adapt to ambiguous situations
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Travel: this role may require up to 30% travel (post-pandemic) to visit our partner universities and conferences.
