The Active Cosmetics Division houses a dynamic collection of brands (La Roche-Posay, Vichy, SkinCeuticals and Roger and Gallet ); all developed for sensitive or problem skin, proven by science and endorsed by healthcare professionals. In the UK this division is on a dynamic growth mission – although today it is the smallest division in the group it has doubled in size the last 3 years and has ambitious plans to double again by 2020.


L’Oréal is seeking a dynamic, experienced, innovative Marketing Manager to shape the future success of our exciting and growing Vichy and Roger & Gallet brands.  Our brands have made us the world leader in beauty products and one of the most professional and dynamic places to pursue your marketing career in the UK. A key leader within the IMC Team , as the Marketing Manager you will lead a brand team of 4 and work hand-in-hand with the  Management Committee to drive the success of these 2 brands through innovative marketing campaigns.  You will be responsible for designing the strategic local positioning and business model for the brands in the UK.   • To define the UK Vichy and Roger & Gallet strategies in line with the international brand positioning, contributing to achieve year-on-year growth by driving new product launches and anniversarising pillar products
  • Oversee and guide brand development, manage the priorities of the portfolio to ensure an optimum offering to the local market, adapting your strategy appropriately for the target consumers
  • Listen to and develop a deep understanding of local consumers and generate new insights to inspire the beauty industry
  • Monitor local trends and feedback your findings to your Zone Director and International Development Team to ensure each new product launch is has maximum impact
  • Take ownership of all international launches and create the right angle of attack for the greatest impact and success in the market
  • Full ownership and responsibility for guiding and leading all marketing activity across the UK
  • Lead local adaptation of advertising materials; influence media and promotion recommendations
  • Manage the budget and the financial implications of forecasts, working closely with the Financial Controller
  • Mobilise other departments to support marketing strategies; commercial to ensure the national accounts presentations are maximised, merchandising, training / education of the beauty consultants for luxury brands
  • Recruit, develop, manage lead and inspire your team, ensuring the development of expertise and know-how


  • Strong sensitivity to the beauty industry, product appreciation and an eye for aesthetics
  • Previous knowledge of local UK retail dynamics and the retail environment
  • Financial knowledge and experience in managing a P&L, expansion analysis, sales forecasts
  • Integrated-communication campaign planning
  • Experience in leading teams to achieve strong results
  • Ability to create new concepts and a brand vision
  • Strong presentation/communication skills with the ability to influence and inspire
  • Commercial acumen, driven by targets with a desire to succeed
  • Social media and digital experience
  • Candidates will ideally have a classical FMCG background or previous experience in the beauty sector, with skincare experience a plus
