POSITION SUMMARY

Assures consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing good manufacturing practice systems, validating processes, providing documentation managing suppliers, SCAR’s, deviations, non-conforming materials, and supplier folders, including contracts, certifications, audits, and business reviews.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change; continual improvement at CM’s and suppliers.
  • Cooperate with peers and vendors on quality issues
  • Participate in preventing and solving quality problems both in existing and developing products

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical degree, desirably in electrical or mechanical engineering, with design or manufacturing engineering experience preferred
  • 5+ years experience involving the full range of QA activities, including design for reliability, product assurance, vendor management, production quality assurance and control, and reliability engineering
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with other departments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
