Designs, writes, develops and evaluates training through a variety of computer-based and instructor-led courses for L’Oréal USA Consumer Products Division Sales Employees. Creates training deliverables by applying standard instructional design and adult learning principles and strategies for designated projects. Creates deliverables for all phases of the course development lifecycle.
Roles & Responsibilities
§ Analyze, design, develop, and evaluate training materials including needs analyses, instructor and participants guides, self-study, web-based lessons/modules, job aids, presentations, evaluation tools, e-learning and others.
§ Design technical and non-technical courses; web/online, computer based, instructor lead, and print.
§ Build design documents and write training materials based on templates using established instructional design methodology and adult learning principles.
§ Develops and implements evaluation processes that incorporate Kirkpatrick levels to measure learning, curriculum standards and immediate training results, incorporating results into future training enhancements.
§ Work with training team to develop appropriate training solutions for: On-the-Job Training, New Hire On-boarding, new course development and revising, updating and customizing existing content.
§ Work with outside training suppliers to customize training programs.
§ Work with remote internal and external subject matter experts/resources.
§ Serve as subject matter/content expert in training program design.
Experience & Education:
§ Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Adult Education or similar field required. Master’s Degree preferred.
§ 2 – 5 years’ experience in an Instructional Design role.
§ Experience designing and creating instructor-led and/or self-paced interactive content required.
§ Experience with basic e-learning design, authoring tools, and related software programs (Flash, On-Demand, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Captivate, other CBT/WBT software, etc.).
§ Experienced in assessment and testing software (Survey Monkey, QuestionPro, etc.).
§ Experience in instructional systems design, multimedia technology and emerging technologies.
§ Demonstrated ability in applying adult learning theories (Knowles, Bloom, etc.) and instructional design models (ADDIE, ARDDIE, SAM) to deliverables in a real world environment.
§ Work with MS Office Applications, Graphic Design Tools. LMS/LCMS experience and website development experience preferred.
§ Able to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment in which priorities and deadlines can change rapidly.
§ Demonstrated problem solving, time and project management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
§ Demonstrated clear, professional and appropriate oral and written communication skills.
§ Able to work with business users, subject matter experts, and vendors.
§ The ability to travel overnight up to 25% is required.
