The People Services function will take on and centralize critical, operational Human Resources work with a goal of increasing collaboration, leveraging shared knowledge, and creating a more consistent employee experience. What You Will Learn:
Support the leader of the Corporate Payroll Accounting, Tax and Support Unit. This unit has three primary responsibilities. First, ensure all payroll transactions are accurately booked to our general ledger in a timely manner including P&L and balance sheet account reconciliations. Second, ensure employment tax compliance including management of our vendor for accurate and timely completion of tax payments and returns. Third, provide payroll processing support. This includes payroll funding, benefits, expatriate, and relocation administration.
Complete balance sheet account reconciliations
Manage and reconcile employee loan balances for employee stock ownership program
Complete post payroll processing activities including:
Post payroll controls
Net pay & employment tax reconciliation & funding
Benefit plan reconciliation & funding (401k as example)
Complete net cash projections vs actual reconciliation
Assist with expatriate employee population payroll processing, reporting, compliance, and reconciliation
Input relocation and fringe benefit data into payroll
Assist in the tracking of tax notice activity with third party vendor
What We Are Looking For:
HS diploma or equivalent coupled with 4 plus years’ related experience
Extensive accounting knowledge in payroll environment
Proficient in MS Office applications specifically excel
Physical in-office presence
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced complex deadline-oriented environment.
You may be expected to travel to Berkeley Heights, NJ up to 20% of your time during the first year of your employment at L'Oreal USA
Bachelor’s degree – Accounting
Expatriate payroll processing experience
ADP SmartCompliance & Vantage Payroll Platform experience
