Couture and Lifestyle Designer Fragrances operate within the L’Oréal Luxe Division at L’Oréal USA. Designer Fragrances has a luxurious portfolio of fragrance and beauty brands. Fragrances include Ralph Lauren, Azzaro, Maison Margiela, Viktor & Rolf, Prada, Valentino, and Thierry Mugler. Beauty includes emerging brands Valentino and Prada. Designer Fragrances has an exciting manager level opportunity available in Sales Planning.

Section 2:  Job Summary

The Planner predicts current and future retails and shipments connecting promotional strategies, replenishment flows, and sizing newness. The Planner proactively identifies opportunities to optimize stock levels that in turn drive profitable sales.      

 

 

Section 3:  Job Requirements

 -Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5+ years in wholesale sell-in or retail planning

-Knowledge and awareness of beauty industry, market, and competitive trends

-Self-motivated, results-oriented, analytical, creative thinker

-Good negotiation, communication, and organizational skills

-Ability to establish working relationships with internal and external partners

-Strong computer skills and ability to multi-task necessary

Section 7:  Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

Determine the right stock level needed to achieve retailer plans and maximize growth opportunities

  • monitor and resolve low or out-of-stock conditions
  • forecast flow of basic replenishment and vet weekly orders to remove processing barriers 
  • plan and analyze promotional levels and sell-through
  • size new launch ambitions and opening order levels

Forecast weekly net shipments for management turn-in, represent Sales voice speaking to week over week changes, opportunities and risks.

Create account budget and trend plans on quarterly basis inclusive of channel plans

Partner with internal teams to ensure plans are supported

  • Support Customer Service to ensure timely order processing  
  • Align with Demand Planning on item level forecasting  
  • Secure necessary promo, launch, and constrained item allocations with Sales Administration (Order form and Allocation team)
