We have an excellent opportunity for a Planning Supervisor to join the Planning team within the L’Oreal Luxe Nottingham Distribution Centre.
Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Planning Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the workload through the Distribution Centre in an even and balanced way by ensuring that all orders are printed on time to optimise the pick and despatch window to the customer. Key elements of the role include facilitating many of the transformational projects for the site and to own the Physical Distribution aspects of the Christmas Coffret campaign fulfilled at a 3PL.

Key job accountabilities:
Managing the Health, Safety and Well Being of a small team of Planning Administrators
Attend Daily Business Sales meeting with the Luxe brands
Attend Promo calls with the Launch Planners - Liaise and plan with Launch Planners (Head Office) the work flow into the Distribution Centre for Promotional and Launch Activity to prevent peaks and troughs
Distribution Centre volume reporting for promo and launch activity
Manage critical path deadlines and customer delivery schedule compliance for the site
Work closely with Operational Leaders for the site to deliver on time in full to the customer
Supervise the delivery of the site SAP change management programme
Optimise the DC pick flow through the management of the re-profiling process encompassing launch activity
To drive accuracy and efficiency in the DC by analysing activity patterns
To coordinate all site continuous improvement projects
To own the 3PL Christmas coffret programme
Cover the Planning Manager role as and when required
Essential Skills Required:
Good overall understanding of the warehouse operation and quality processes
Excellent understanding of SAP and B.I
The ability to problem solve and to demonstrate a logical approach to tasks
A flexible approach to work tasks and working hours in order to meet the needs of the business
Good organisational skills and the ability to constantly prioritise work
Attention to detail and high quality standards
Excellent numeracy, written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work effectively as part of a small team as well as being self-motivated to work without supervision
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word
The network you would work with:
The position involves regular liaison with the on-site MANCOM, Order Preparation, Flows and Stock Control teams. You will need to be proactive, professional and energetic.
Your basic hours will be 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday. However the successful candidate will be expected to be flexible with their working hours to provide support and cover for the department. Your starting salary will be dependent on your skills, ability and experience.
