We are looking for a senior CMI professional with robust experience on research and digital to onboard on this thrilling adventure.


Partnership with China Makeup Métier 
  • Conduct primary research that informs innovation decisions related to rising consumer & market trends, decoding and understanding consumer needs, behaviors and its evolution that suggest promising innovation opportunities 
  • Explore strategic white spaces topics to define the innovation strategy and projects
  • Translate & trasform consumer insights into innovation ideas and further facilitate insights into prototype development 
  • Influence to ensure consumer centric project roadmap and objectives

Play China CMI role in partnership with international Makeup application domain
  • Conduct strategic analysis through synthesizing Market insights, Consumer insights and Trends to inform sizeable new innovation opportunities for makeup category;
  • Feed critical Chinese consumer insights into international makeup domain roadmap, jointly define domain key stakes and key projects ensure it is centered in consumer needs and expectations 
  • Propose and conduct domain CMI research plan, collaborate across central/hub CMI team to realize the plan 
  • Partnering domain major innovation projects, provide insight support for tech & product development

Manage CMI Digital Tools and Fuel Up CMI Digitalization Capability
  • Manage & develop CMI digital tools, including big data prediction module & color digital tracking tool
  • Partner with and maintains relationship with external agencies and resources to explore leading edge digital methods & tools also find opportunity to pilot them
  • Collaborate with int’l CMI community, CCO and CDO teams as integrated team on digitalization

Consumer research skills:
Translate business needs into research briefs, design and execute research plans effectively and independently
Ability to generate insights for innovation purpose, communicate and deploy insights with clarity and impact
Can identify and influence strategic decisions through fact-based analysis integrating diverse data sources
Adequate analytical skills to solve complex business challenges and create/recommend appropriate business actions
Digital and data analytics skills:
Understand diverse sources of digital data format (e.g. panel, consumer, EC, social…) and can use them for analytics to understand market, category, consumers and trends in an integrated view
Good analytical skills in using multiple digital datasets to frame up analysis and identify meaningful insights 
Ability to spot issues where digital methods and tools is helpful in providing solutions
External focused in leading edge digital tools and methods

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field.  Master’s degree a plus.
8+ years of relevant experience in consumer insight and data analytics
Has a genuine interest & curiosity in both beauty and understanding technology & science, with a progressive mindset wish to improve and invent new product solutions that delivers added value 
Experience of digital data analytics or operating digital methods/tools  
Experience of insights work in FMCG is preferred

  • Good at project management, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good at presentation and communication
