As a Regulatory Specialist, you will be responsible for providing regulatory support to our Research and Innovation laboratories, product development, etc. to perform regulatory assessments, perform impact analysis against product portfolio, and working with an international team on regulatory compliance collaborations.   




  • Perform Regulatory Assessments on products and substances to ensure global compliance
  • Provide support to compliance functions as needed (complete product forms, Prop 65, etc.)
  • Perform impact analysis of federal and state legislation activities.
  • Provide advice to métiers and product development teams and give guidance on potential regulatory compliance issues.  
  • Ensure appropriate regulatory compliance for all L’Oréal products.
  • Assist in the management of FDA OTC establishments.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding ingredients, formulations, regulatory issues and associated requirements.



  • Bachelors level degree in Science or Engineering.  Strong working knowledge of chemistry is preferred.
  • Minimum 1 - 3 years’ experience in regulatory or product safety in cosmetics, chemicals, or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Knowledge of international chemical, cosmetics and OTC regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.  Must be able to interact successfully with all levels of personnel within R&I and with other divisions and departments.
  • Good project and time management skills.
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Solid oral and written communication skills.
