We have a suitable opportunity in the Accounts department for the position of Manager – Plant Accounting. The position demands an individual who is a right mix of Skills and Process expert. The person should be capable of handling accounting matters related to Fixed assets, month end Inventory valuation, Stocked / non stocked reconciliation, stock equation review and can provide Audit support for Group, Statutory and Tax audits. You should be Chartered Accountant by qualification with 3 to 5 years of experience. The location of the job will be in Mumbai and this role would require travelling to Pune and Baddi plants every month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that the Fixed assets register (FAR) is maintained as per Group’s policy, IFRS and IGAAP and to be the custodian of the entire FAR for the India entity.
  • To provide inputs to the teams / users on assets capitalization, disposal / write off, impairment testing and govern the entire process in line with the Policy.
  • To liaison for periodic physical verification of ALL the fixed assets with the help of third party and to ensure the gaps identified in the audit are resolved with ALL the stakeholders.
  • To drive month end plant closing for both the Plants of Baddi and Pune and do the necessary reporting.
  • To drive the month end inventory valuation process for a smooth month end closing and ensure that the same is prepared and validated on a timely basis.
  • To drive automation and simplification process related to your area and come out with innovative solutions to simplify the things.
  • To drive Group led simplification initiatives related to Fixed Assets, Inventory and Royalties and provide inputs for automation.

Physical Demands (e.g. % travel):

  • ~ 25% Travel


  • Chartered Accountant with 3 to 5 years of experience


  • Knowledge of SAP
