Key Accountabilities

Contribute to the creation and protection of L’Oréal's assets as a strong player of the SAPMENA tax team to advise and guide internal clients in all matters concerning tax regulations for the assigned entity(ies):

  • Manage the tax burden of all tax types
  • Alongside the Head of Tax, guide and advise CFOs and accounting teams on tax matters: tax compliance, tax regulations, tax returns, tax payments, CbCR, tax Trend, tax calculation, etc.
  • Monitor and manage tax claims, tax credits, tax flows (intra-group transactions, tax deductions, …)
  • Manage the preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing and other appropriate tax documentations
  • Support the Head of Tax in the formulation of tax strategies by anticipating, identifying, evaluating, and monitoring tax risks and opportunities
  • Management and coordination of tax audits/litigations in close relation with Group Tax Department
  • Participate in transversal tax initiatives/projects
  • Develop a “tax intelligence” and monitor changes in laws / practices (expertise, technical competencies, alerts)
  • Raise awareness of tax considerations for business projects and tax risks
  • Develop close coordination and cohesion with Group Tax department (Transfer Pricing, M&A, Customs and Reporting) for relevant tax matters
  • Develop an efficient professional network to collect best practices, tax alerts
  • Lead and manage external tax providers (lawyers, advisers, consultants, …)

  3. Interacts effectively and works closely with the Tax community as well as other functions (CFO, accountants, controllers, legal, IC, IT etc.)

 

Proactive Risk Manager

  1. Anticipates and prevents tax risks
  2. Evaluates the financial and fiscal impacts in order to have a better view of the tax / customs challenges
  3. Negotiates and convinces internal (CFO, Accounting, Controlling, IT, Legal ...) and external stakeholders (Tax administration, consultants ...)
  4. Mobilizes internal and external stakeholders in order to solve issues
  5. Ensures effective and timely reporting to internal stakeholders
  6. Takes ownership of actions plans and follow-up on tax issues

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant working experience with at least 5 years with Big 4 CPA firms
  • Solid understanding and working experience on Singapore tax matters
  • Comfortable to work in complex business entities environment
  • Good communication skills and excellent stakeholders management skills
