Position Overview: Support the goals of the Packaging department pertaining to equipment specification, acquisition and installation, work flow, and the productivity improvement process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently investigate opportunities to improve the efficiency and productivity of the UP.
  • Performs analysis of processes, systems, methods and procedures.
  • Develops (Identify, select, cost-justify, purchase, install, upgrade, modify) major capital projects for automation, expansion or cost reduction.
  • Implements L’Oréal corporate Industrial Projects (KANBAN, SMED, TPM, etc.).
  • Ability to identify opportunities and produce cost-effective results in a timely manner.
  • Manage and direct engineering projects ensuring timely execution and budget control.
  • Analyze, recommend and implement activities that will maximize productivity, improve flows and reduce costs within the manufacturing processes.
  • Provide support, guidance and assistance to technical and production personnel.
  • Supervise the activities of sub-contractors, suppliers and service personnel.
  • Together with Packaging Operators, Processors and mechanics actively participate and/or lead optimization projects.

 Educational or Certification Requirements:

  • BS in Industrial Engineering or related field is required

 Previous Experience:

  • 3-5 years of previous experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

 Additional Requirements:

  • Past project engineering experience is a plus.
  • Computer skills, to include experience with spreadsheets, pivot tables, presentations, graphics software and database management.
  • Experience with SAP a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
  • Must be eligible to work in the US on a continuous, on-going basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
