Section 2:  Job Summary:

Responsible for retail sales per door (14 Doors) and ensuring corporate goals are met.  Develop all counter personnel on education strategy for Macy’s & Neiman’s.  Source, hire and train beauty advisors.  Manage Sales and Training Coordinators, Beauty Advisors, Business Managers and Freelancers in executing events to maximize daily business goals, promotional activities and launches.  The expectation is that the Sales and Training Executive will spend 80% of their time in the field.

 

Section 3:  Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor degree and minimum of 3 years experience in cosmetic or retail management

2. Self motivated, results oriented, creative thinker

3. Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills

4. Analytical in approach to identifying opportunities

5. Proven experience in motivating and training sales staff

6. Proficient computer skills necessary – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

 

Section 4:  Judgment and Decision Making:

The supervision required is close. There is daily communication between the Sales & Training Executive and the Regional Sales Director.

 

Section 5: Essential Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds, stand/walk in store up to 8 hours a day

Annual Budget Responsibility:  Personal T&E budget, Sales and Training Coordinator T&E budget, and Freelance budget

Annual Revenue Responsibility:  10 million in volume

SALES

 

1.  In-store seasonal planning and execution

Coordinate seasonal events for national accounts. Plan and execute product launches, GWPs, and PWPs with store manager, department manager and business manager to ensure maximum visual effect and sales performance. Plan, communicate and execute all in-store makeup events.

2.  Business Analysis

Responsible for daily, monthly and seasonal tracking of total retail performance within territory.  Must maintain knowledge of the trends of individual business segments, i.e. – Makeup, Skincare, Fragrance and all of the key business drivers within each segment.

Monitor competitive activity and competitive retail performance within cosmetics department.  Ensure that market share objectives are being met.

3.  Meetings and Presentations

Arrange and spearhead seasonal business manager meetings.  Prepare and carry out seasonal retailer presentations.  Participate in and/or organize regional retailer strategy meetings.

4.  Maintain counter quality and merchandising

Monitor cleanliness of the counter stock and display units and hold beauty advisors accountable for Lancome counter quality requirements.  Execute and maintain all Lancome merchandising standards.

5.   Maintain budget

Maintain seasonal freelance budget, including sourcing freelance makeup artists, booking for appropriate events and executing their payments within the seasonal budget.  Process T&E in a timely manner and within the guidelines.

6.  Communication

Daily communication with Regional Sales Director regarding business performance and staffing issues.  Daily communication with store management regarding event performance, employee turnover and training.

EDUCATION/COACHING

 

8.  Training and Development

Develop, motivate and train business managers and counter personnel through education and e-learning training programs.  Actively plan, execute and follow up on new hire training using ECOLE or Digital ECOLE follow-up by certification. Actively plan, execute Season Opener trainings for all retailers. 

 

Coach beauty advisors to increase sales by making sure s/he is fulfilling all the responsibilities. Teach beauty advisor how to maximize productivity by developing selling skills, customer service skills, booking events, mastering makeup application skills and product demonstration.  Train and coach STC’s, business and counter managers to become strong team leaders and in store coaches for their beauty advisors.  Work closely with Area Education Director and Sales and Training Coordinator to ensure that training standards are being met.  Make certain that beauty advisor representation is a reflection of Lancome beauty advisor guidelines.

9.  Sourcing/hiring/talent assessment

Consistently source and interview candidates for business manager and beauty advisor positions using Lancome Interview Guide.  Assure we have the best talent at all counters through systematic talent assessment based on brand goal achievement, productivity (SPH, IPT, AUS), makeup artistry skills, client registry level and quality, customer service, etc.  Maintain accurate records on Demo system to reflect correct staffing.
