Division: SkinCeuticals

Reports To: VP Education & Training

Summary:  Under the direction of the VP of Education and Training and in close collaboration with the VP of Sales, this position is responsible for executing on-boarding & internal training for the SkinCeuticals sales team including Account Executives, Regional Sales Managers, and Regional Sales Directors as well new internal team members in cross-functional departments. In this role, the senior manager welcomes and guides new employees of the brand through the on-boarding process and ensures their access to all resources and tools to prepare them for their individual role.  With a heavy emphasis on the sales team’s growth, this person brings passion and innovation to our SASS model and other development opportunities specific to our industry position and focus on medical dispensing. 

Responsibilities

ON-BOARDING

  • Hosts “welcome call” with new field employee on first day with detailed on-boarding curriculum for home study
  • Prepares “welcome box” featuring SkinCeuticals products and welcome letter for new hires; ships to arrive on start date
  • Hosts 1:1 touch base calls throughout home study period ensuring progress and success
  • Collaborates with field team leads (including Sales, Education and Medical Affairs) to ensure home study program meets and evolves as the role suggests
  • Assigns Regional Field Trainer to new hire for mentorship for first 90 days

 

NEW HIRE TRAINING

  • Manages the full execution of all field-based new hire training; determines strategy, aligns leadership behind strategy and constantly evaluates effectiveness and efficiency of the training.
  • Ensures the learners’ experience at new hire training is premium, engaging, interactive, applicable and diverse.
  • Responsible for creating, maintaining & delivery of content for all phases on new hire training; ensuring content is engaging, interactive and accurate.
  • Sets schedule for training days, coordinates facilitators of modules, ensures quality delivery on content and keeping adult learning principles top of mind in execution.
  • Responsible for delivery and training of all sales staff on our SASS selling model; evaluates evolution of assets and curriculum as needed by industry.
  • Solicits feedback from attendees of new hire training; constantly evolves and incorporates growth opportunities.
  • Provides post new hire training reports to sales management and supports with in field rides (as needed) to new employees’ training.
  • Manages all materials for Internal New Hire On-Boarding & SASS programs.
  • Manages site and lodging selection & contracts for all internal training seminars, adhering to budgetary guidelines.

SALES TEAM DEVELOPMENT

  • Works closely with VP of Education and VP of Sales on training needs of the field team; sources content for training needs and presents opportunities to leadership for consideration.
  • Works with sales, education and Marketing on content development for field needs to support new product launches, in-office trainings and assets for the digital sales aide.
  • Manages the Internal Field Team Coach and Share page; solicits best practices, video tips and ensures content on site is applicable, positive and premium.
  • Keep abreast of competitors’ activities and actively shares information and ideas that will impact future success; offers collaboration opportunities with aligned industry experts.
  • Collaborate with VP of Sales to review ratings of AEs based on competency levels to provide additional AE training, as needed.
  • Completes a minimum of 2 field rides annually to maintain high level of business acumen on the sales role, completes minimum of 2 seminar attendance to assess relevance and training opportunities of the education team.
  • Participates in SLT conference calls, Education conference calls and meetings, as needed
  • Assists sales leadership with interviewing AE candidates, as needed

REGIONAL FIELD TRAINER PROGRAM

  • Manages the RFT program in alignment with intention of sales leadership and education.
  • Executes application process, reviews applications and makes suggestions on RFT team annually to sales and education leadership.
  • Hosts bi-monthly calls with RFT team to develop skills on mentorship, delivering feedback to peers, and facilitate best practices.
  • Sets expectations of RFT role, ensures compliance with expectations and tracks initiatives for on-boarding mentorship, field rides and participation in the program
  • Complete end of year SPIFF paperwork for payout.

NATIONAL SALES AND TRAINING MEETING(S)

  • Assists in the preparation, agency sourcing and communication, content needs and schedule of the annual sales meeting(s).
  • Is capable to presents at NSTM on mainstage and in breakouts as determined by need and content.

OTHER

  • Carries themselves as a leader and example among the field teams; fosters a positive environment both in person at all events and on any virtual platform.
  • Prepares monthly reports, which will include, but are not limited to, a calendar of internal training activities, a summary of feedback from trainings, ROI report and all corporate required forms such as expense reports.
  • Provides support to other cross departments (i.e., Consumer Affairs, Customer Service, Marketing and DMI) with questions/answers, training, and education as deemed necessary.
