SECTION 2:  JOB SUMMARY

 

The Senior Manager/ Manager of Education for Ulta will be responsible for training, developing managing, leading and inspiring the Ulta Salon & Retail Team – most notably of Ulta Education & Training team but also Ulta Salon leadership- on a weekly basis, to insure that they receive specific Brand Product knowledge, methodologies and necessary technical skills to excel the overall business.

 

This position will report to the AVP Field Education, to develop strong relationships and connections to influence the Ulta Sr. Management and Education Management Teams, to drive sales, grow the people and programs to service the business.

 

The Senior Manager/ Manager of Education will implement brand directed educational programs (where applicable) and will lead the business development education strategy for Ulta.  This position will collaborate with the Brand EEM to successfully execute all programs, events and seminars within the budget guidelines, and will collaborate with the Sales Account Director to manage Ulta education budget.

Minimum 5 years of Education Management Experience

Licensed Cosmetologist

SECTION 6:  ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Position requires 70% Travel:  Airplane / Auto / Train. 
  • Program / Event Set Up / Break Down:  This position requires lifting up to 50lbs, bending to pick up boxes, and the ability to carry weight 100ft.
  • Position requires walking 2 miles+ per day for conventions and seminars
  • Position require sitting up to 8 hours per day for meetings / events

 

 

SECTION 7:  KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

TASKS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop strong relationships, build connections with high level Sr. Management to help influence the strategy put in place by the Brand.
  • Work with Ulta Salon Leadership quarterly, and weekly with Ulta Education team, to influence development of Ulta Education & recruitment programs.
  • Collaborate with Ulta Education Management Team; leading, facilitating and/or participating in Ulta Events, programs, meetings and trainings
  • Manage Ulta Education budget – working with Ulta on how to optimally allocate funding
  • Work with AVP of Field Education / VP of PPD Ulta, to execute the National Account Education Plan strategy for all classes, trainings, events, programs, meetings.
  • Work weekly in the field to train Ulta Salon and Retail Staff on Brand Product Knowledge, all programs and methodologies to develop the people to significantly grow the professional and retail business.

  • Brand EEM is responsible for all logistics of all National Account programs, events, trainings, and the Senior Manager/Manager of Education is responsible to execute strategies within budget guidelines

  • Will collaborate with National Account Education Management to recruit, assess and analyze all staff to develop Brand Artist or future Training Teams.
