Part of the L’Oréal Group, The Body Shop International is a natural and ethical beauty brand, with 3050 stores in 66 markets around the world, operating through a multi-channel retail strategy, including stand-alone stores, global travel retail locations and e-commerce sites.

Purpose of role:

  • Implement The Body Shop’s content marketing strategy across the company's global web properties and regions
  • Ensure consistency across all content across all markets, in accordance with brand guidelines
  • Provide data entry support for product information and content at a global level
  • Support content migration and tagging of products

Your mission: 

  • Managing and uploading of accurate product content on the website (across product images, product copy, events, non-product assets, categories, facets and video)
  • Being the business owner of product content, supporting the resolution of technical issue with hybris platform as well as supporting other business owners with other content related issues.
  • Supporting markets with delivering products updates.  
  • Coordination of the sourcing, managing and scheduling of content across several departments keeping a clear log of formats and progress, while documenting processes. 
  • Support content migration workstream to new markets ensuring consistency of data
  • Support with provision of content to Franchise markets
  • Working across the business to build robust processes to collate and maintain a structured up-to-date product database.
  • Responsible for testing & assessing site content and be able to escalate on site issues
  • Supporting optimisation of images to ensure that product pages work effectively.
  • Maintain site content accessibility and ensure content is customer oriented
  • Working with SEO manager to ensure that copywriters are implementing optimized SEO copy effectively in market content
  • Support the delivery of a joined-up content strategy, including webpage optimization
  • To develop and manage the content harvesting and creation project plan, ensuring that the timelines support the overall programme timelines.
  • To manage the overall process for content development for the website.
  • Brief brand teams and internal SMEs on asset requirements, and ensure the collation of assets is completed according to programme timelines.

Reporting to the International ecommerce manager, the successful job holder will be required to exhibit:

  • Demonstrable interest in digital marketing and understanding of eCommerce trends
  • Bringing a creative flair to your work
  • Managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience building presentations with Microsoft Powerpoint
  • Good command of Microsoft Excel


It would be an advantage to have:


  • Knowledge of UX best practices
  • Knowledge of content optimisation and writing for the web guidelines
  • A working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Experience with content management systems (such as ATG and Hybris)



  •      Educated to degree level or equivalent
