We are looking for a Consumer & Market Insight Director who will directly report to the Country General Manager. The Consumer & Market Insight Director will design and implement L’Oréal Turkey CMI strategy to contribute to the growth of the country business by reaching the best of beauty market, consumer and performance understanding. Your previous team management experience will help you to develop and lead strong and talented team.




Under 3 main topics, you will be responsible for:


  • Market understanding :
    • Build, regularly update and report a 360 multi channel vision of the beauty market (including ecommerce, retail, door to door etc.)


  • Consumers understanding :
    • Understand usage and attitudes towards beauty, detect tribes and trends for marketing teams to transform them into innovative products or campaigns before competition
    • Support marketing teams to evaluate new concepts and formulas performance through traditional and online methods (social listening)
    • Support category teams to understand shopper omnichannel journey and build best in class merchandising with our clients


  • Performance tracking :
    • Track monthly retail performance through classic scanning
    • Track penetration through ad hoc studies
    • Build a system to track 100% omnichannel performance easily
    • Create a new system to track more systematically the ROI of our marketing activities
    • Source and deploy group, regional or local state of the art innovative tools and methodologies with a big focus on Digital
    • Contribute to the international insights consolidation by sharing local consumer journey and market insights with CMI Zone representative
    • Management of consumer call service center (outsourced)



  • 4 years’ university degree

  • At least 12 years in market research (at a manufacturer and/or market research agency), food / beauty industries. Mastering insights is a must-have.

  • On top, the candidate needs to be master market data topic and to be digital savvy

  • Open minded, can effectively collaborate with internal and external expert communities

  • Good communications skills (clear communication and power to convince) to build and spread consumer centric culture

  • Curious, enthusiastic, rigorous
