The Counter Manager is our brand(s) ambassador who manages beauty advisors and drives the business at the point of sale for one of our retail partners. As a Counter Manager, you will lead a team of beauty advisors by monitoring and managing the sales targets established to achieve market share growth.  You will have the opportunity to empower a group of beauty advisors through effective people management and play a key role as the main point of contact for the L’Oréal Travel Retail Americas head office.   A candidate must possess a passion for beauty, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and a drive for sales achievement with integrity to deliver retail excellence.  As a Counter Manager you will have the tools to:

    • Explain objectives and maintain BA focus and motivation
    • Provide ongoing feedback to BAs
    • Assist in recruiting BAs when necessary and onboarding
    • Organize daily team briefing to ensure team is properly informed
    • Delegate specific tasks to BAs as needed
  •    Fully prepare launches and events from products to customers including visual merchandising
  • o  Adapt selling strategy according to launches, stock availability and stock flow
  • o    Pilot sales KPIs to develop business proactively through analysis and forecasting
  • o    Proactively reports to Management and head offices
  • o    Coach BA on sales technics and KPIs to enhance productivity at the point of sale

Job Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent retail analytical skills
  • Passionate and self-driven
  • Ability to effectively manage people
  • Proper grooming based on brand guidelines
  • Ability to interact with customers from multiple nationalities
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasional to frequent basis
  • Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing or moving about the store. Physical activities include bending, stooping, lifting, climbing, carrying, walking, and/or reaching on a frequent basis.

Preferred

  • Prior experience in a retail, sales, or cosmetics environment
  • Prior experience interacting with customers in a consultative capacity
  • Prior experience in managing people a plus
  • Prior experience in setting, tracking and reporting on retail thresholds
