Kiehl’s Counter Manager –San Francisco Airport

The Counter Manager is our brand ambassador who manages KCRs (Kiehl’s Customer Representatives) and drives the business at the point of sale for one of our retail partners. As a Counter Manager, you will lead a team of KCRs by monitoring and managing the sales targets established.  You will have the opportunity to empower your team through effective people management and play a key role as the main point of contact for the head office.   A candidate must possess a passion for beauty, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and a drive for sales achievement with integrity to deliver retail excellence.  As a Counter Manager you will have the tools to:

  •         Execute daily business operations and ensure compliance to foster sales
  •         Foster a team that has a service attitude mindset and enrich a positive working environment
  •          Give customers a unique experience, building customer loyalty
  •          Act and lead with human sensitivity in managing a team

Primary Responsibilities

  •          Manage store and KCR goals, daily performance to goal, and KPI service standards.
  •         Ensure that KCRs are providing exemplary customer service as outlined in the Kiehl’s Circle of Service.
  •        Provide effective feedback to KCRs on their productivity to set goals and expectations
  •         Properly manage sampling program
  •          Be a Kiehl’s advocate and brand expert
  •         Perform daily boutique maintenance and visual merchandising tasks including stock work, re-merchandising, display, price changes, merchandise transfers and light cleaning according to Kiehl’s and management directives.
  •          Follow Kiehl’s Mission, policies and procedures
  •         Maintain Kiehl’s uniform and appearance image standards
  •          Regular attendance and timeliness for all scheduled shifts


  •          Proven ability to achieve sales goals
  •          1+ years specialty retail store management experience
  •          Cosmetics experience a plus
  •          Competitive drive and entrepreneurial confidence
  •          Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships and manage a team
  •          Ability to positively and proactively handle customer concerns and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  •          Ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes
  •          Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  •          Must be able to work on your feet all day and walk up and down a flight of stairs or ladder if necessary
  •          Lift up to 25lbs on a regular basis
  •          High School Diploma or GED required


  •         Must have flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  •        Store hours of operation are 5:30am-10:00pm everyday

Compensation and Benefits

  •        Hourly  + commission when needed on sales floor + incentive bonus when applicable
