The Team/Department...

The marketing activation apprentice will report into the Visual Merchandising & Trade Marketing Managers and support them with in store activations. Specifically, supporting the Visual Merchandising Manager with retail excellence & supporting the Trade Marketing Manager with gift purchase creation, stakeholder management and National Eventing.

The brand activation apprentice will be supporting on the below big projects:

             Mother’s Day / Father’s Day

             Christmas

             Lightbox roll out across estate (guidelines)

You will...

Be a team player and a go-getter, supporting key functions in crucial point of sales acceleration and in delivering excellence in all our point of sale and Key Trading periods (majority of our business turnover). You will have a great overview of what a Marketing 360 role is and could be as well as getting the chance to deepdive in a more “specialty” function like Visual Merchandising that has evolved massively from before the pandemic.

Now VM and POS execution are back as a crucial tool in the Marketing tools portfolio, focusing on experiences and customer engagement rather than more “show&tell”.

Mastering admin and basics in your first months will allow you to use that foundation to develop in a strong marketing professional, capable of handling a marketing role at the end of your tenure.

Day-to-day you may be...

During this placement, your key responsibilities will include…

  • Supporting the visual merchandising manager with retail excellence by adhering to international guidelines whilst adjusting to suit the UK market landscape
  • Organising and taking ownership of all Armani lightbox and digital screen updates across Fragrance and Beauty counter doors.  Includes managing the guidelines and main point of contact for the field team
  • Supporting the Trade Activation Manager in creating gift with purchases by managing key stakeholder relationships such as supply, subcon & elements, to create enticing gift with purchases
  • Raising and managing all local codes in Cosmo and fully tracking all stages to ensure codes are created within a timely manner.
  • Managing National Eventing within Armani Beauty- Working with education, product managers & regional business manager to create monthly themes which can be rolled out Nationally into Masterclasses, supported with hype packs, key tips & tricks from the education team and GWPs.
  • Supporting on quarterly wrapping allocation and operational excellence (blotters, maintenance etc)
  • Conducting a monthly competitor review, analysing both in store & online activations to become an expert in trade and gifting strategy
  • Product launch management in store in second stage of role

You are...

  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Have the GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade C (4, or equivalent)
  • Have achieved an ABB at A Level, or 34 points (16 at higher level) in the International Baccalaureate
