TITLE OF IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: General Manager L’Oreal Professional




Incumbent will be responsible for the creation, development and implementation of the L’Oreal Professional Education message and materials utilizing development staff resources, network of creative artists, and leveraging the Global Academy. Also as The lead of International Training, you are also focused on the development and competency of the LP International Education network.

The Vice President of Education will accomplish these goals and objectives through continuous development and execution of a specialized development plan. The incumbent will work closely with peers including Sales, Marketing, Digital, Finance and HR. 




To cultivate an inspirational, concise and consistent Matrix educational message globally.

Strategically plan and coordinate ongoing technical development and competency for Education managers and Artists. This includes but is not limited to:


  • Assessing the training requirements for the different markets to support sales goals.
  • Guiding the Education managers in recruiting and developing a strong disciplined Network of Artists and Educators.
  • Ensuring accuracy of product information and training method within the international markets.
  • Systems and strategies for growing the business by adopting the L’Oreal Professional education philosophy.
  • Principle based curriculum in training, hair design, hair color, texture, business, science and styling.
  • Training guides developed by education development in New York and adapted to specific markets.
  • Assistance with new product launches and renovations with educational strategies and training programs to ensure successful implementation.


Plan and execute the multiple educational events


Participating in as many corporate calendar shows/activities as time permits including monthly Director’s meetings, NSM, ETC


Travel is significant at certain times during the year approximating out to 40% of the time.





       Competent in product knowledge as well as competitive product knowledge.


A thorough understanding of educational programs and philosophies.


Strong computer skills including Email, Word, Power Point, Excel or a willingness to be immersed in training


Superior presentation skills to produce and model effective classes, programs, events and meetings.


Exceptional leadership skills to motivate staff and artists.


An ability to communicate clearly with both written and oral skills.


Flexibility (openness to change and new ideas). Self-initiated career management (accountability for learning/acquiring skills needed to excel), embrace and believe in all elements of the LP mission, values and objectives.


Ability to effectively manage and control a large budget and large staff of cross-functional teams
